Tennis balls are filled with nitrogen gas. 1.7% of nitrogen gas has escaped from a particular ball after 10 hits. a) How much gas is left after a game that had 23 hits on the ball? Kay this is what I did: my equation is f(x)=100(0.983)^(x/10), and then I subbed 23 into x. I got 96%. Is this right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got 96.09%.

OpenStudy (wondermath):

nice

OpenStudy (wondermath):

so my equation is right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i guess so.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there is an easy way 1.7% TIMES 10= .17 .17 times 23= 3.91 100%-3.91=

OpenStudy (wondermath):
