If I have a connect an ammeter(0-1A) with a dry cell in series circuit with copper connecting wire. The ammeter will not show any reading right? Is it because the resistance is too low till the current flow through almost reach zero or it is really zero? I am doubting my teacher explanation of reasoning that the current = 0.

OpenStudy (stormfire1):

If the circuit is like this picture then the ammeter should definitely read > 0 since I = V/R and R is very low. |dw:1336297084054:dw|
