SOS>>>>>>How do you find the volume of a prism, when your only given the base ???

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

depended what form is the base

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its a cube

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

area of base time height

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know , if two prisms are given then the volume of the biggest is divided by 2 or what?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

wait...what's the situation? there are two prisms?

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

if they are the same so than divided by 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you lg helped me right now the volume was 180 and base 9 said it was twenty then theres a smaller prism next to it with a base of 6

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

than the smaller will be 6*6*6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hm are you sure

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

the smaller prism is a cube?

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

is this smaller prism a similar figure ...then you can use ratios

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah its the same shape

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

^what the @dumbcow said :P haha jk

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanks

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

haha alright well 6/9 = 2/3 so height is 2/3 * 20

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

i agree with the dumbcow :))))

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

your name so funneh haha

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

you just like typing my name....well i can't pronounce yours
