sorry; (X2 + 4)(x^2 - 4) we do the foil technique where you multiply each part of the term by the other. (x^2 * x^2) (x^2 * -4) (4 * x^2) (4 * -4) then we simplify each by solving (x^4) (-4x^2) (4x^2) (-16) As you can see (-4x^2) and (4x^2) are coefficients so they eliminate each other. because it ends up as zero when you add them. so the answer would be x^4 -16
