A card is drawn from the deck. What is the probability it is either black face card or a spade?
well how many cards are in the deck? and how many cards are either black face or a spade? take the number of cards that are black face or spade and divide them by the number of cards in the deck. That's how you get your answer
There's nothing more to the question itself but I left out the possible solutions. I thought the deck consisted of 52 cards with there being 13 spades and six black face cards. I added 13 and 3 and used the answer to get 19/52. However, according to the multiple choice it was wrong. A card is drawn from the deck. What is the probability it is either black face card or a spade? Question options: a) 3/13 b) 13/52 c) 4/13 d) 19/52
I added 13 and 6*
