During the process of radioactive decay, the amounts of parent element and daughter element will change. Explain how the amounts of each will change through the decay process.

The parent nucleus is what's radioactively decaying, and when it decays it turns into a more stable form. That new form is called the daughter nucleus, and over time more and more of this happens exponentially.
