The sum of eight and a number is one hundred. What is the number?

\[x = 100 - 8\]
\[x = 92\]

Yep, this is the same thing.. just do the opposite problem on the other side.

+8 would mean you do -8 to the other side. :)

@Austin_Rain A better way to say this is that we are subtracting 8 from both sides :)
