A 1/2-c serving of cereal has 180mg of potassium. This is 5% of the recommended daily allowance of potassium. How many cups of cereal are needed to get 100% of the daily recommended daily allowance of potassium? Huh? I don't even know where to begin trying to figure this out.

OpenStudy (pfenn1):

well, if a half cup serving of cereal has 5% of recommended daily allowance of potassium, how much would a cup have?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A cup would have 10% therefore 10 cups of cereal would have 100% of the daily allowance of potassium. Correct?

OpenStudy (pfenn1):

Correct
