Can you show me step by step how to get general form of this function? y = 0.05x^2 + x + 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is the definition of general form?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the general form of a quadratic equation is:\[y = a(x - h)^{2} + k\]

Looks like vertex form. Do you have notes on vertex form? You want to go from general form to vertex form. Usually it is done by completing the square but there are some shortcuts that you can use if you have them in your notes.
