Kinda I added 9c and 3c and got 12c?

he wanted to isolate c so he added 3c to both sides
OpenStudy (lgbasallote):
that gave him 1 = 9c + 3c + 7 since he wanted to isolate c..he subtracted 7 from both sides so 1- 7 = 9c + 3c

after that was arithmetic... 1-7 is -6 9c + 3c is 12 so... -6 = 12c
