How do you find the width of the problem stated below? Plz be patient whilst I type.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The area of a rectangle is 2x*squared* - 5x - 12 and the length is 2x + 3. Find the width.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

you will need to factorise \[2x^2 - 5x - 12\] one of the factors (2x+3) has been given as Area = length* width By factorising the area equation you will find the length and width

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So the second one in the factorized one is the answer? o-o

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

thats correct...
