What is the difference of r+2/r+4 - 3/r+1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Find the common denominator, (r+1)(r+4). Thus, (r+1)(r+2)/(r+1)(r+4)+(r+2)(-3)/(r+1)(r+4). Therefore, [r^2+3r+2+(-3r-6)]/(r+1)(r+4) Simplifying further: r^2-4/(r+1)(r+4) And finally (r^2-4)/(r^2+5r+4) Done :)
