can someone plz help me understand howe to divide an article into sections or stages of thoght?

I assume this article is already written, and you have to summarize it.
The article should already be divided into stages of thought. That's what paragraphs are for. Usually each paragraph is a different topic. Once in a while, a "stage of thought" will be divided into two paragraphs, depending on the length of the article.
