Describe how the American life changed in the 1960s and 1970s, during and after the involvement in the Vietnam War
This is a very good question. There are many ways to answer the problem. Economically by addressing the oil crisis of 1973. Politically by addressing the conservative turn that came with the Nixon administration. Socially with the 'silent majority' backlash demanding for a return to traditional values. Culturally as it was the first time the United States lost a war and it was a real feeling of shame which is in past used to explain the later involvement in Kuwait in the 90s. This is mainly the aftermath though. If you are looking during you will notice an unprecedented amount of popular uprising coming from every strata of the society. The U.S.A. which had normally been a relatively calm nation was being torn apart by anti-war protest, pro-gay right, pro-women rights, pro-black rights and all of the counterparts.
