Gold has a density of 19.3 g/cm3. What is the mass of a 5 cm3 block of gold

OpenStudy (amistre64):

spose you have alot of boxes; and each box weighs 19.3 grams each if you have 5 of those boxes, what is the combined weight?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the equation for density is density= mass/ volume so mass=density*volume you know the density of Gold already, and they give you the the volume of the block= 5 cm^3 so all you have to do is plug in the numbers in the equation and solve for mass

OpenStudy (anonymous):

MASS=DENSITY*VOLUME SO MASS=19.5*5 =96.5
