Find an equation for the line with the given properties. Vertical line; containing the point (-9,-2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x = -2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it wouldn't be x=-9?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok I don't understand that? Sorry could you explain it because I thought your x variable stays the same so why would it equal -2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x variables don't change in a vertical line-- only the yvalues change. since you are told that the point (-9,-2) is on the line, the x coord will always be -9 on that line . so x=-9

SO I was right. lol sorry I was confused by the other answer that was given. Thank you!
