OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is the perimeter of triangle ABC? Round to the nearest tenth.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how much is one block

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk

OpenStudy (anonymous):

each block is one unit

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea but does he want yhe ans in units

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't think so, I guess It'll be just each block = 1unit... not necessary cm, nor m, nor none of those. since a unit isn't specific I think its appropriate

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A.Y_swagger; based on the figure you pretty much know the length of CB and AB. once you know that just use the Pythagorean theorem. A^2+B^2=c^2 once you know C^2 get the sqrt and then just add up A B C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cb = 5 units ab = 3 units

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how does that get me my answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

with that you now know two sides of the right triangle. You still need to find out the hypotneus idk how to spell it,

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which to find it you use the theory I mentioned above

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a^2 + b^2 = c^2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hypotenuse

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea, and then just solve for c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks Tinman

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea np

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for my final answer i got 15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its should be less, show me how you found c; perhaps I confused you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the answer should be 13.83

OpenStudy (anonymous):

juan_9292 r u still there

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a^2+b^2=c^2 where c= √(a^2+b^2) = √(5^2+3^2)=√25+9) = √(34) so to find the perimeter you add up all of them. 5+3+√(34) which as Tinman found=13.83 and yea, just having internet problems now and then

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or ok cuz i was goin to explain

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I was waiting to see if A.Y_swagger sent his work, but he didn't so I posted it up.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes the answer is 13.8
