The planes are parallel. This drawing will help clear this up |dw:1336082180719:dw| P1 is the top plane, p2 is the bottom. In order for them to be perpendicular to the plane, both must have a right angle to the line. for this to be true, they both need to be parallel, because if they weren't, the angle with the line wouldn't be 90 degrees
