^ That basically sums it up. Illnessess can be passed down over generations, and some things that relatives had in the past increases the risk of it developing in future generations.
Many diseases are related to the inherited genes one receives; diabetes, allergies, some mental health and age-onset dementia,blood pressure and several autoimmune diseases. Health of individuals in the hereditary path from grandparent to the individuals often show the expression and occurencesof these diseases
