what is a slope-intercept if.... X-intercept is 2 and slope is 7?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the x intercept is where y=0 the y intercept is where x=0

OpenStudy (alexwee123):

slope intercept form would be y=mx+b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait i thought 2 is for y-intercepts..

OpenStudy (alexwee123):

nike 2 is an x intercept

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah i missed that one.. so y=b for the y intercept..

OpenStudy (alexwee123):

to find slope intercept form i like to use the point slope formula |dw:1336108386600:dw| then i would plug in (2,0) and the slope and then convert it to y=mx+b
