Given:angle NKL is congruent to angle NJMandline segment KL is congruent to line segment JMProve: triangle JNM is congruent to triangle KNL. Complete the proof by choosing the correct statement for line number 3. Statement Reason 1.angle NKL is congruent to angle NJM Given 2. line segment KL is congruent to line segment JM. Given 3. Reflexive Property 4. triangle JNM is congruent to triangle KNL AAS A. angle JNK is congruent to angle KNJ B. angle KLN is congruent to angle LMN C. angle JLK is congruent to angle KMJ D. ∠J ≅ ∠K

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you trying to figure out what the 3rd given is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm really confused by it actually /:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But yes, that's what I need to figure out.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

quick question where is the statement?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The statements are: 1. .angle NKL is congruent to angle NJM 2. line segment KL is congruent to line segment JM 3. 4. triangle JNM is congruent to triangle KNL

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is B right? because it doesn't make sense. there isn't angle LMN

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or is that to throw you off?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think its c.. it just seems to make the most sense to me ... answer a- it is talking about the same angle. answer b- there is no angle LMN answer c- it seems most reasonable. answer d- angle j is equal to angle k so i would go with C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah that sounds about right to me too! Thanks so much for taking the time to help me out! (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or is answer b suppose to say angle JMN because that congruent to KLN

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah no prob just procrastinating my other homework..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol :P Tisk tisk! Just kidding! (: But yeah, answer B is KLN to JMN. It's okay though. You taking the time to try and help me is good enough! (:

Directrix (directrix):

1. .angle NKL is congruent to angle NJM ---> Given 2. line segment KL is congruent to line segment JM --- > Given 3 Angle N is congruent to Angle N --> Reflexive Property . 4. triangle JNM is congruent to triangle KNL --> AAS Theorem
