I 'm in the 6th grade and I'm just starting to study square roots. Between which two consecutive whole numbers lie between 14? I don't get it?
I think that it's 3 and 4 \[3^{2}=9 \] and \[4^{2}=16\] \[\sqrt{9}=3\] and \[\sqrt{16}=4\]
O.k. I see what you are saying but how did you decide that it was 3 and 4. I understand the square root of 9 is 3x3 or 3 squared and The square root of 16 is 4x4 or squared 4 but how did you figure out it was this for 14? I just want to make sure I know what I'm doing when I go take my test.
Thanks for telling me what it was I'll try to figure out the rest on my own. You people are great. Wish I knew about this study place at the beginning of the school year. If I have more questions on other problems, I'll be back.. :)
