How Would I simplify 4x/4x - 8? My teacher put 4x/4x - 8 = -8/x. As you can see the -8 is in the denominator and she just randomly puts it in the numerator instead. Then she puts the x in the denominator (I get this part). I just wanna know how the hell did she put the -8 in the numerator?
