a set is measurable if and only if, given ϵ > 0, there is an elementary set b such that μ*(AΔ B) <ϵ What the hell is ϵ here? and what does it mean by "given"?

@ChrisS @experimentX any clue?

king please help

*there is an elementary set B

OpenStudy (kinggeorge):

\(\epsilon\) is just a number that's greater than 0. It could be \(50\) or it could be \(0.000000000000000001\). The statement just tells you a number with this property exists.

OpenStudy (kinggeorge):

In general though, you consider \(\epsilon\) to be very small.
