Rewrite in standard form and give the vertex. Please show steps. Am not sure how to write it in standard form. y=x^2-6x+18

OpenStudy (blockcolder):

Standard form is this: \(y=a(x-h)^2+k\). and vertex is (h, k). Complete the square to get it to standard form: \[y=(x^2-6x+9)+18-9\\ y=(x-3)^2+9\] Comparing this with our standard form, we see that the vertex is (3, 9).
