Which of the following best describes the changes that take place in an ecosystem during primary succession? Lichens and mosses grow slowly on newly formed land, followed by grasses, shrubs, and trees. Shrubs and trees regrow quickly in areas that have been disturbed by a forest fire. Organisms compete for resources, and those that are best fit to survive establish themselves as the dominant species. Natural disasters cause many populations to migrate to a new location in order to survive
r u doing ur hw coz i m answering these qn as tomorrow is my exam and have this chapter in the test thats y answering otherwise i ll say do ur hw ur self :P anyways i was being selfish now no more so first tell me ur opinion
Well, i´m not really asking for just questions, I also want so i´m looking for an explanation as to why the answer is what it is.
Sorry, i meant just answers
primary succession means first time developement occur in any field nw say
would the answer be the 2nd one?
look in second it will be right but they said developement occur after forest fire which mean there was already a forest beofre fire so we call this secondary succession as if tree and shrub grows there it ll call secondary not primary as i said "first time developmement"
Lichens and mosses grow slowly on "NEWLY FORMED "land, followed by grasses, shrubs, and trees. here newly form symbolises first time developement
thanls for breaking down the question!
