The pilots of an airline have signed a new two-year contract. For the first year of the new contract, current salaries will be reduced by 25 percent. For the second year, these reduced salaries will be further reduced by 10 percent. What percent of their current salaries will the pilots earn during the second year of the new contract?
0.25*0.1
.0250?
does that seem right to you given that they lose 25% of the salary the first year and more then second year?
no it doesn't hahah
i was wonder if there is something we do with .0250
wondering*
hmmm, so the question your asking is, what is ten percent of 25 percent, yes? if so, 25 percent times 10 = 250, divided by 100 gives us 2.5, now subtract 25% minus 2.5 %
i am not sure what i have to do but the correct answer was 67.5. however have no idea how to get this.
