The Atomic Theory offers an explanation of a small particle of matter, called the atom. What must be true for a scientific theory, such as the atomic theory, to be strong and well supported?

A theory is simply a possible explanation for a set of observations. It is then tested and it can either be supported or refuted by further investigation. In the end, a theory is simply a hypothesis and remember a hypothesis cannot be proven correct, only wrong. Evidence can support a hypothesis or prove it wrong. Scientific theories are simply the hypotheses that have not been proven wrong. In order to be strong and well supported, it must be supported by all evidence.
