h(x)=5+x/-7+3x find h(x-2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

fill (x-2) in every where you see x then simplify

OpenStudy (anonymous):

here's what i got : 5x-10/-4x+8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Here try solving from this point (5+(x-2))/(7+3(x-2))

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You multiplied the five by the stuff in brackets but you were supposed to add the 3 on the bottom is a different story though. Understand?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5x-10/10x-20

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You aren't supposed to multiply the 5 by whats in the brackets.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so how can i solve it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

take away the brackets on the top around x-2 and simplify by grouping the numbers. It would look like this 5+x-2 and then to make it easier move the -2 next to the 5 and you get 5-2+x. Then for the bottom because it was 3x you have to multpily everything in the brackets by three. Then take away the brackets and simplify the part without the x.

3+x/13+3x

Yes you got it sorry I forgot about you.
