a) at wendy's single burger contains 430 calories . . . define your variables and then write a function rule to represent the number of calories consumed based on the number of burgers eaten. b) using your function rule how many total calories are consumed if you eat a single burger at wendy's twice a week for one month? assume the average month has 4 weeks.

OpenStudy (espex):

This is an exercise in taking the words and transforming them into math. Part a states that for every burger you consume you also take in 430 calories. They want you to write a function so that you can determine the number of calories based on the number of burgers. If 1 burger = 430 calories, then Total Calories = number of burgers times 430.

OpenStudy (espex):

The second part just gives you a number of burgers that they want you to plug into your equation.

OpenStudy (espex):

Make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes i need help plugging those numbers in the equation

OpenStudy (espex):

Plugging the burgers in should be a relatively simple task, if you look at what you have for one: B*430=C where B is number of burgers C is number of total calories You just need to read the second part and put in the total number of burgers.

thanks

You're welcome. :)
