Find a function f such that the graph of f contains the point (0,2) ... (more to be added)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Find a function f such that the graph of f contains the point ( 0,2 ) and such that for every value of \[x_{0}\] the tangent line to the graph of f at \[x _{0}\] is parallel to the tangent line to the graph of \[y=e ^{x}\] at \[x _{0}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is this for a calculus class?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

certainly is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think I have it figured out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well think about this problem in reverse, if we were given the function how would you find the equation of the tangent line..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok great :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't need the equation of the tangent line. I know that. It's y-2=\[xe ^{x}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=e^x +1 satisfies all of the conditions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wow thanks ollie

you're welcome
