Factor the GCF and then factor the resulting trinomial: 5x2 + 20x + 20

OpenStudy (maheshmeghwal9):

\[5x^2+10x+10x+20=(5x+10)(x+2).\]

Parth (parthkohli):

There's two ways to solve this: I'm sure you're familiar with this one. \(\Large \color{purple}{5(x^{2} + 4x + 4) }\) This one is the 2nd: \(\Large \color{purple}{ 5x^{2} + 10x + 10x + 20 }\) \(\Large \color{purple}{ 5x(x + 2) + 10(x + 2) }\) \(\Large \color{purple}{ (5x + 10)(x + 2) }\) \(\Large \color{purple}{ 5(x + 2)(x + 2) }\)
