3x/2+x/5=17 solve.

OpenStudy (henryblah):

Well what can you multiply the whole thing by to get rid of the fractions? Lowest common factor of 2 and 5?

OpenStudy (kropot72):

Multiply both sides by 10 \[(\frac{3x}{2})\times 10+\frac{x}{5}\times 10=15x+2x=170\] 17x = 170 x = 10
