is there a website where i can plug in my equation and it could graph the picture for me?
www.wolframalpha.com
I <3 alpha
everyone does >:))
ok if i have this equation r1=2^2 cos(45theta)+6 and r2=sin(450theta)+2
polar and degrees
my window : theta max 360 theta min 0 theta step 10 x min -10 xmax 10 xscl 10 y min -10 ymax 10 yscl 1
Alpha... http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=%28x%5E2%2By%5E2-1%29%5E3%3Dx%5E2y%5E3
it gives me a flower, now i press 2nd graph and the table comes out, how do i graph this manually with this info ont he table?
For alpha, to plot in polar coordinates, type "polar plot r= , theta = a to b"
But of course, put the right equation in for r, and put the range that you want for theta.
To plot without a graphing function, plug in specific angles and plot the radius at that angle on your graph. Pick angles of theta that will make cos(45theta) easy to calculate, like theta = 0, theta = 2, theta = 4
you could also try graphcalc.com its like having a graphing calculator on your computer
Keep plotting points until you can see the pattern.
but there are so many points, it goes one by one on the theta column
Is there any chance your function is supposed to be just 2^2*cos(theta) +6 and sin(theta)+2? adding in the 45 and the 450 makes it crazy. Or maybe it's supposed to be cos(45+theta)? That makes so much more sense.
