integrate: x((x+1)^6) dx using u substitution: u = (x+1); du = 1 dx; dx = 1 the first step says integrate (u-1) u^6 du how did they change the x into (u-1)?

OpenStudy (blockcolder):

It's from the substitution. Since u=x+1, u-1=x. Get it? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[u=x+1\] \[x=u-1\]

ahhh ok I guess I can see that if someone points it out...I am not going to see that on the final...I emphasize the I...it might be there but I won't see it.....like a mathematical snake
