The surface area of a rectangular prism is 200 cm². If all the sides are doubled, what will the new surface area be? 800cm^2 wan to know if im doint this correctly thank you

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

i dont think 800 is right...what did you do?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(2*l*2*w)+2(2*w*2*h)+2(2*h*2*l)=8(l*w)+… so four times the original or 800 cm^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if all the sides are doubled , the surface area becomes 4 fold so 800 should be correct

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

hmm i did not get the same...well if he says its right i guess it is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanks
