The rear view mirror of a car is a plane mirror.A driver is reversing his car at a speed of 2m/s.The driver sees in his rear view mirror, the image of a truck parked behind his car. What will be the speed at which the image of the truck appears to approach the driver? Please solve!
What have you worked out so far?
I don't have any idea about the question that how to solve it?
Well, a plane mirror means that objects in the mirror appear the same distance away as they would if you were looking at them. So If the truck in the mirror looks 10 meters away, then it is 10 meters away. (Some mirrors are not like this). So if distances are the same in the mirror, then so are speeds.
k! then.
Ans...... is {4m/s}.
