What is the difference between kinectic energy and potiental energy?
Potential energy is energy stored and available to be used later and kinetic energy is energy that is already in use.
Potential energy is also energy not yet in action.
Examples: Potential energy could be like a rubber band about to be released it's energy is being stored and increased. An example of Kinetic energy could be like a car moving. It's already in motion.
in adding to @mis deva kinetic energy can never be stored and potential energy can be stored and for its a trick to identify wehther u were said about motion means kinetic energy and if u were aid about rest or static that is potenetial...
a rock about to fall out of an airplane has a potential energy. it could potentially express X amount of energy. a rock hitting the ground after falling from the airplane is expressing Y amount of kinetic energy. kinetic can be seen as physical energy.
thnxs for yall replies i really do appreciate them Thnxs:)
potential energy is energy due to position kinetic energy is energy due to motion
thankyou so much all of you:)
Potential energy is stored and available to be used later on. For example, being really high up gives you gravitational potential energy because gravity is ready to just work its magic on you. Kinetic energy is energy that is already in use, for example when you finally fall gravity makes you go faster and faster, a form of kinetic energy is speed
kinetic energy of an object which is possess due to is its motion. in it work needs to start a body. it is calculated by- K.E.=1/2 mv2 stored energy of a position is potential energy. it is cal. by- U=mgh.
