If a world record is broken at a location, is that location made into a historical landmark?

well just because something is a historical landmark doesn't mean it wont close. we have a historical landmark that is a huge beech tree in my area and they completely fenced it off and surrounded it with factories so that you can't even see it anymore...sometimes making it a historical landmark prevents you from doing what you want to do there in the first place. what is the building?

it may sound a little stupid, but it's a club family fitness center. It has been there since 1999. It is getting repossessed by the bank and closed down on May 9th and me and many other people refuse to let it happen. But there is not much we can do is there /: I just want to do something that would prevent it from happening or at least delay it.
