Temperature is a measure of vibration (or motion) of molecules.

Temperature measures heat and heat is nothing but the vibration of molecules. The more the molecules vibrate the hotter the substance. If there is no vibration then there is no heat and the the temperature is -273C. This is impossible. So everything vibrates.
