-2y=x+8 i need to make three points out of this to make a line for a graph. please help.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just substitute for x some number (0, 1, -1) and see what the y value will be

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you i had no idea. This will help me with the whole test

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or - much better - dont bother with three points (you need only two in fact) and simplify the equation to y =(-1/2)*x-4 Now you can see that the line crosses y-axis on -4 and it's slope is -1/2

slope -1/2 means that for every two squares you go to the right, you go one square down...|dw:1336427269368:dw|
