How do researchers identify the specific cause of an infectious disease? List the four steps. (4 points)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

#1S-CRP to determine whether it's a virus or bacteria, (viruses usually has a spiking value up to several thousands, while bacteria is around 15-200.) #2 (bacteria) Fecal/urinary sample if bacteria to determine exactally which type of bacteria. #2 (Viruses) Compare symptoms to known viruses and perform bloodwork to confirm diagnoses on viruses matching the diagnosis. It would probably be safest to administrate either Interferon or a broadspectrum interfron (Cycloferon). I shortened it down to two steps, do i get bonus points?
