Im confused on what this is saying to do Find the sum of the first 18 terms of the following sequence: 2, 6, 10 . . .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It basically is asking you to add up each of the terms. So... 2+6+10.....+18th term in the sequence. Recognize that each term increases arithmetically by 4 and recall your knowledge on how to find such a summation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its 2+6+10+14+18+22+26+30+34,.... with 70 being the 18th number?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

use the formula "s=n/2(2a+(n-1)d)" where s is sum of AP n is the nth term(here 18) and a is the first term(here 2) and common difference d(here 2-6=4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so if my math is correct i should get 648

YUP IT IS THE ANSWER
