What three pieces of information(Side Angle Side, Angle Angle Side, etc.) produce similar(Same shape) triangles?

There are a couple of similar triangles. They are the same shape, but different sizes. You tell me what parts are the same.
Angles are congruent, number of sides are congruent, and they are proportional.
?
To prove that they are similar you can use these three: AAA SSS SAS
so AAA, SSS, and SAS produce similar triangles?
SSS gives congruent, not similar. Same with SAS. I guess technically congruent triangles are similar also... but that's not the point.
AAA is the only requirement. Sides usually will not be congruent at all.
AAA (angle angle angle) All three pairs of corresponding angles are the same. SSS in same proportion (side side side) All three pairs of corresponding sides are in the same proportion SAS (side angle side) Two pairs of sides in the same proportion and the included angle equal.
so AAA is similar right?
lol yes.
yes
is that the only one? it's the only one i can find
can AAS be similar too?
no, that's for congruence.
oh so AAA is the only one?
i thought you asked for three though
Jolly, when it asked for 3, it meant just 3 parts of the triangles. As in, angle, angle, and angle.
That's how I read it.
yes smoothmath is right
Well then! AAA it is :)
ok thank you
pleasure(:
