explanation before answer, with the answer in another post please.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

if the explanation is good, the answer falls into place

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im not quite sure what that means? I didn't explain anything I was actually looking for an explanation on to how to solve this.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

find the values of the answers using the definition of the trig functions

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

the upper triangle has measurements for the adjacent sideAB = 5 cm and the hypotenuse AC = 10 cm and \[Cos = \frac{adj}{hyp} \] so \[\cos(x) = \frac{5}{10} \] in the lower triangle you have the opposite side AD = 10 cm and adjacent side AC = 10 cm and \[\tan = \frac{opp}{adj}\] so \[\tan(y) = \frac {10}{10}\] I'll let you find the answer based on the above infromation

OpenStudy (amistre64):

sin = over/hyp .... campbell FINALLY got it out lol
