Whats the difference "end results" between HTML 4.01 and XHTML?
well u shouldn't worry about eitehr one you should worry about HTML5 or should I say HTML? anyway the diffrence is HTML4.01 wasn't real easy to use and XML was the in thing at the time to make a long story short XHTML tried to enforce rules that HTML would be written more like XML for example for it to valiate you need both a begining tag and ending/closing tag like this .. <body> </body>... HTML5/HTML has done away with the rules kinda you can use the HTML 4.0 rules or the XHTML rules....doesn't care and it will still validate.....good stuff other than you still have to use allot of Java script to perform most complex tasks. But HTML5 is getting better I've seen allot of nice interactive sites using it lately. :) good luck to you....you gonna be allright asking questions like this --calmchessplayer
As I know, there isn't any single difference in output. However, it is true that XHTML is stricter than HTML.
