Can some one walk me through the steps to do this problem: find a unit vector in the direction of the given vector: v=6i-2j the answer is <(3sqrt10/10)i,-sqrt10/10j>

|dw:1336458196093:dw| Use the quadratic equation to calculate the length of the vector. Then get the unit vector by dividing each term (i and j) by that length. That gives you a vector of length 1 (a unit vector).
