So in the chats everything is off topic so why not have one chat window or no chat windows?

If we had one chat window, people needing help in another group can just post to that one chat saying what they need help with. This way they don't have to post to multiple chat windows to get help in a certain group.

But there are so many people needing help in math that we already get a lot of links there from people needing help so maybe it would be just too much for one chat.

For the having one chat window: But at least it might be easier to moderate. Conversations won't be spread out among different chat windows.

On the flip side, multiple chats allows multiple conversations to go on, while only one chat would severely restrict the potential conversations.
