A large spherical balloon is being deflated. When the radius of the balloon decreases from 10 ft to 5 ft, approximately how much volume has it lost?

OpenStudy (pfenn1):

Do you know the formula for the volume of a sphere?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yo gurl, how big is the 10 foot beach ball? Sweet thang, how big is the 5 foot beach ball?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well yes, 4/3n (pi)r^3 i plugged 10 and 5 into it and tried to calc the difference and it didnt work out for me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ee i got the formula wrong, let me try once more

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmmm, what happened exactly? and your formula should be: (4/3)pi*r^3 not (4/3)n(pi)r^3 because I don't know what n would be anyhow...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah i had to many numbers in my head at that time, lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

got it, 3665ft^3
