Solve the inequality. 6y – 8 ≤ 10 please show your work thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Start by getting rid of the -8. You do this by adding it to both sides. So 6y-8≤10 becomes 6y≤18. Then divide by 6 on both sides. Which turns 6y≤18 into y≤3.
